Meet Steve Gordon

Managing Partner & Office Manager

Steve Gordon grew up in the construction industry building homes with his father in Newfoundland Canada. He moved to Rockford, Il and started Rockford Contractors Inc. in 2007, and grew it into one of the most respected contracting companies in the area. When his company was acquired in 2013 he and his family decided to relocate to Austin, TX to provide better opportunities for their boys Grant and Layton.

He founded Custom512 in 2016 and has built it into one of the fastest growing construction companies in Austin. He takes pride in building a company the community can rely on with the majority of work driven by repeat and referral clients. Steve finds passion in serving his clients, doing everything possible to ensure they enjoy their construction process and are left pleased with the final product.

He is working on a forthcoming book titled “Blue is the New White Collar” and speaks to student groups regularly about the value of learning meaningful trades in today’s business climate.

When he is not working you will find him biking Mount Lakeway, with his kids at the pool, or at the Field of Dreams watching his boys play baseball.
